New website!!!! finally here

Guess what???

My website is finally completed & ready to view!!!!!! yay!!! I have a new address due to some complications with the domain name. Just add photography to my old site. That's all!

www.jennybedardphotography.com

I do need to change a few oopses & add more photos that I seemingly forgot! So if you are one of those ppl don't worry! I will get you up there sooN! I add at least a couple pictures from every session & wedding to my sites so show off. Many sessions from this summer have not been added but will be in a couple weeks.

Thanks for your patience! I've had so many people contact me letting me know my site wasn't working!!! =) I felt terrible because I had to wait for the domain site to get cleared. Thank you for your concerns. I really do appreciate it!

EnjoY! I am aware of many oopses but if you want to email me just in case that would be fine! - jennybedard@gmail.com -

-Or you can comment on the blogger. Either way is just fine! =)

My eyes have glossed over while I was working on it so its very likely I still have not noticed a typo or two.

Well, back to work!!! Have a great day!

Blessings,

Jenny

Sweet lil Macy- 1 years old

I can't believe this beautiful little girl is already one years old! I've been photographing her since 3 months of age & it just flew by!!! Macy is a bundle of joy- not exaggerating. She has so many people in her life who love and care for her!!! I've probably said all this before in previous posts... but I am just so touched by this family. Leslie (her mom) is one of a kind! Not only has she devoted her life this past year to Macy but with such a great attitude! I hope I can be as loving, gentle, patient & kind to my child as she is to hers. Leslie has been beyond a great help to me through my pregnancy. She has been so encouraging & a great role model. What would I have done without her knowledge & experience with macy! I am blessed to know her & her family. Thanks Les for letting me be a part of Macy's growth!!!! THis year has been so fun!!! Here is just a sneak peek from our session on Sunday. We went down by the hudson river. It was a HOT & humid one!!! =) I love summer. Enjoy!

(How innocent is she??? haha. I don't think she realized that it was causing him pain because we were all laughing)

Honey- Don't slouch!!!- sound familiar???

Ok. This is a different kind of post for me. I've been thinking about how I can help my clients look their best naturally. If slouching is something you know you struggle with & really want to make sure you're not in your wedding photos I recommend you working on it now! Even if you are months away from your big day!

The number one thing my clients comment on is their posture. I generally notice if someone is an extreme sloucher. But... it can be deceiving at times. I was very aware of this as well before my wedding. So I worked very hard for a couple months on myself. From what I gather the best thing is to strenthen your back & being "fit" will make it much easier & natural to have lovely posture.

Here's a link to some exercises you can try. I don't know how well these work. I've never tried them.... but they sound promising. I'm going to continue to do more research but this is a great one to start off with!

"Here are three spine-straightening activities to try:

1. Stand against a wall and press your shoulder blades back. Let your lower back keep its natural curve, and keep your chest lifted and your chin parallel to the floor. Hold this position and breathe in and out 10 times.

2. Sit in a sturdy chair with your back straight and your abdominal muscles pulled in, extend the arms straight forward at shoulder-level. Exhale and round the shoulders and back. Pull the chin in towards the chest, contract the abdominal muscles and hold until all the air is blown out. Inhale as you return to the upright position. Repeat 10 times.

3. Lie on the floor face down, with your arms extended above your head. Exhale and lift both legs and arms into the air, hold for a few seconds and return to the floor. Repeat 5 times."

E-session with Nick & Megan!

Hey!! Here are some fun engagment pictures with the lovely Megan & Nick. THeir wedding is not too far away- NOvember 16th. I am so excited for them to tie the knot!!!! I really enjoyed our time we spent together during the session. THey were really fun! Nick brought his beautiful dog along & we got some really great shots with him. THey also had along fishing poles & posed with them along the river because that is something they love to do together! We were in Stillwater which is a great location! But... when we arrived we were surprised to find the whole riverside was filled with people getting ready for Lumberjack days!!! haha. I thought it was pretty great. So we did a few pics by the buildings & then retreated to a park nearby for a little more privacy! I was really pleased we decided on that because we got some great shots there. I loved the little sentimental props they added. Another example was they wanted a pic on the back of Nick's truck because that's a part of how they met. The dog & fishing poles were the other great props they added. So fuN! I hope you enjoy!

Kendra & Thomas!!

This is a very late night post! But... I wanted to get these up for everyone to see! Forgive me if there are some spelling errors or sentences that don't quite come together clearly =)

Kendra & Thomas were absolutely beautiful to capture. I had the honor of dancing with Kendra in college on the danceline. We had a lot of fun!!! You can tell she was a dancer! She is very elegant & sweet. Thomas is one lucky guy!!! Take a look at the pics & you'll see that lil' spark they have in their eyes for each other!! =) The little people were really fun to capture!!! I had a fun time watching them play & dirty their pretty clothes... EnjoY! Let me know your favorites!
