Long time...

It's been a while since I've really took some time to blog.

Things have been busy! It's that time of the year where people start thinking about family portraits for christmas cards... and it's the middle of wedding season... I have so many sessions & weddings to share! But I don't have the time to blog everyday... I wish I did!!! But I promise to keep up with it for the next month & try to catch up!! I will be sharing Molly & Dan's wedding soon- for all of you who are checking daily. Sorry! =)

Here's a newborn session I photographed last week. It was a dear friend from High school's little sweet 8 day old baby. I had a BLAST!!! The mom & dad took off to the MOA while I spent a couple hours capturing sweet little moments of their baby (may I remind you we were good friends so I offered to let her rest or run errands in exchange for me babysitting/photographing her child). IT was a GREAT trade off in my opinion!!! I wish everyone let me have that much freedom to do what I want & trusted me!!! That's why the pics turned out awesome (in my opinion)!!!! I was able to try many new things I've been itching to try... I.E. the vintage baby scale~! Enjoy sweet Ella!

casting call- specific family...

Hey!!! Great response on the family casting call! Thank you for all who were willing to be my guinea pigs!! hehe.

WEll.... now I am looking for a specific family. I want to go to a location that has old cars, barns & fields.... so anyone with a young family and at least two kids would be perfect!!! This is a very unique location & is located in Hastings. So you will have to be willing to drive & I would like to start photos around 6pm.

So YES... this is a very special casting call with specific requests. Thank you for considering. Once I find one family then I will close this casting call.

We're back!!

Hi Friends!!! We are back from Duluth & had a great time!!! But I have so much catching up to do on emails so I will have to make this quick! Thanks for your patience if you have been waiting to hear from me for a while!!!! It will take me the next day or two to get back to everyone!

The first day was gorgeous & I was able to get some cute pics of my baby on the beach! Josiah had a blast!!! He especially loved playing with the sand (and trying to eat it)!! I had so many favorites I put them into a collage. I am looking for some text to add to it... anyone have a good idea??? Let me know your favs!!

Hey!!! just a quick note before we pack up & leave!!! I will be gone in Duluth until next tuesday for a lil R&R!!! Can't wait!!!

Here are a couple pics to munch on while I am gone!! If you don't remember this is Macy & she is turning 2~! We did a "smash the cake" session.... but she was very lady like & did not smash the cake!!! It was pretty darn cute~!! We kept telling her it was ok to put her whole face in it if she wanted... but nope!!! haha... My mom made her cake btw! Isn't it adorable!!!??? She is so talented!

much overdue!

Hello Friends! I am sorry I've been a bad blogger =( My vacation was really great though! But it didn't feel like much of a vacation because I was still taking care of orders, editing, etc. haha. Oh well! I am still working on Josiah's nursery... it's getting close! I just need to get his custom frames up & I'll be a happy mommy!!


Many new things are changing with my business. Mid-summer I'll be having some revisions to my pricing with session fees & prints (yes-they are slightly increasing). I'll be making a really great new blog very soon!!!! I am hoping in two weeks it will be launched!!! I can't wait!!! Keep close watch- I'll be putting up a special as a grand opening!!! hehe.

This session is much overdue! I've been meaning to share this special day with you for a while! I had an amazing opportunity to capture newborn twin boys. It was a challenging session for sure but absolutely rewarding in everyway possible!! We ended up having split it into two sessions because there was not enough time to get it all captured! This session I learned a new level of patience (because there are two unpredictable newborns) and was able to see a teeny tiny glimpse of what these amazing parents lives are like... i.e. exhausted & overjoyed!!! =D What a gift God has blessed them with!!! Isaiah is their first son & he cracked me uP! I had a blast capturing a few sweet moments with his little brothers. I was told that he is a very good helper!! What a fun childhood they will have!!! I am so excited to watch the boys grow as they will be part of my baby program "In the Beginning"! Enjoy! Let me know your favs!!!
